full weekend

This weekend the sun came out! Friday afternoon at work we had our big staff block party to celebrate "summer" with a majority of the students on summer vacation. My co workers and I played a couple games of corn hole and then tug of war and egg toss. I won two blue ribbons! Very exciting, they are on my office bulletin board now. After work on Friday I went with a friend out to a minor league baseball game in Nashville. A fly ball ended up being hit and dropped right next to me! All these guys were leaning over me trying to catch the ball and I had my head in my hands trying not to get hit. By the time we got back from the game it was midnight and I had to get up in the morning to work an oreintation event for work. Saturday morning I worked the event and left school around one pm, I then made my weekly trek to wal mart for food supplies and decided to do some mini gardening. I bought some pepper plants. some basil seeds and some broccoli seeds. I planted them and put them on my porch by my hammock. Hopefully they will yeild some sort of yummy food. Saturday afternoon I went strawberry picking with a friend and got a quart of fresh strawberries. We came home and made angel food cake with strawberries and cream on top of it. Delicious! Sunday proved to be a bright and sunny day so I went hiking out a Cedars of Lebanon State Park and did a five mile walk that took us by several limestone sinkholes which were pretty cool. We climbed down into one of them (hopped a barb wire fence and went off the beaten path - but it was worth it!)
Underground cave - very slippery! I almost fell in!

Me in a limestone sinkhole

Rock shaped like NC!

Looks like a man made well to me, but apparently its a sinkhole too.

Some strawberries and blueberries that topped my angel food cake

My miniture veggie garden, (left to right: basil, wildflowers, peppers, and broccoli)
