HIbernation

I have been hibernating in my apartment for the past couple days as I have been waiting for the contract for my new job to be signed. Finally, I got the call from human resources this afternoon and I went outside * yikes* and signed my contract. My first official day of work is Tuesday, Inauguration Day.  I am dreading the drive to work - it is only 7 miles from my apartment but apparently the morning traffic can be crazy - sometimes taking 45 minutes.
The weather is freezing! This artic weather has me bundled up in my apartment tonight with the weather outside at 2 degrees F.  While I have been hibernating, I thought I would pull out my sewing machine and the fabric scraps from Mom's quilt and put something together. Maybe pepper can have a matching quilt!
Tomorrow Scott comes back, he has a job interview on Monday with a security company in Nashville. My goal tomorrow is to get a library card in town so I can get the latest Sookie Stackhouse Book - yes! When it is this cold outside, there really isn't anything else to do but read and quilt... or maybe bake.
