Ok, this past week was even more dramatic than the week before it. Work drama, boy drama, and now CAR drama. On tuesday I was driving home from work and a massive bird decided that my car looked like a nice way to take its own life. So the bird dove into the underside of my car and then all of a sudden there is this horrible noise and smell coming from my car. So I pull over and look - there is no sign of the bird and everything looks fine. So I get back on the road and as soon as I hit 40 miles and hour the car sounds like its going to explode. So I call a guy friend in town and he comes out to look at it after I get the car home going 25 miles an hour. He jacks the car up and finds the problem: the massive ugly bird has knocked out the two screws that hold up the undercarriage of my car - so when I drive fast enough the air pushes it down and it drags on the road making a horrible sound and smells like burnt plastic. UGH! Like I really needed one more thing to worry about. So he takes a wire clothes hanger and cuts it, bends it, and shapes it into screws for the car until I can get it to a Subaru dealer.
With all the mess going on in my life, I decided to hibernate in my apartment for the weekend so I would stay out of trouble. And then Saturday evening, 2 tornadoes touched down in Clarksville. Very scary. It was sunny and beautiful 70 degree day and then bam! In 4 minutes the sky went black, lightening everywhere, and the temperature dropped 10 degrees. The weather alert radio that my mom got me was going crazy!
Other than that I have been rearranging my apartment and painting some old furniture - I tried to make it a boring weekend but it just won't let me be! I am hoping that next week calms down and cheers up... I have had a very turbulent 3 weeks and I am ready for some "normal". The week after that I get to go home for Easter and finally see my family. I am very very excited about that!
