Do we think these will work?

I found an article on pinterest about container gardening in recycled material bags. I am a little skeptical, but seeing as I have way too many seedings and not enough containers for them, I need more options! The image and directions on the website seem legit, and what really is the difference between a rubbermaid container or a bucket compared with one of these bags? Which I happen to have plenty of! Doesn't seem like a lot of space, but my spinach seedlings are growing so fast that I need to get them into a container quickly! We are leaving on Friday to lead the Alternative Break Trip to the Outerbanks for 11 days - I need to get things planted before we leave otherwise its going to be a jungle in our apartment by the time we return. Spinach is going in tomorrow into the cold frame and then I have a tomato seedling that is determined to take over other seedlings for more space - it needs a home!

I also found this idea on pinterest as well, its taking a half beer bottle and using a string as a wick to wick moisture up to the plant roots with the idea of a self watering system... I don't know about this but am willing to try!
