Weekend with the Wills
Last weekend was a busy one! Jasin's parents came to visit on Friday and left on Sunday, and we were busy everyday. Friday night I came home from work to make Sheppard's pie for dinner and then we headed out to our local theater to see The Christmas Carol - http://roxyregionaltheatre.org/currently-playing/a-christmas-carol/ . The kids in the show did a great job performing and it certainly put me in the Christmas spirit. After an evening at the theater we stopped by Dairy Queen for a quick snack before retiring for the evening. Saturday held a wonderful surprise as Jasin drove us to Nashville for a library book sale! OMG. Wonderful! As many books as you could ever want and each only a $1! I got some of my favorite authors and some Christmas Kids books for Anna, my pregnant sister in law. I am not really sure how long we spent in the book sale, but there had to be an end to the book mania! We headed to restaurant in the cutsey Hillsboro Village in Nashville (where country star Taylor Swift loves to hang out) and ate at Bosco's. I had a wonderful salad with pears and cranberries and walnuts and gorgonzola cheese.. mmmmmhhh!! When we rolled our way back to Clarksville I had to get ready for a Christmas party I had that night with some co workers. This party included an ornament exchange so we had to run to Hobby Lobby and grab an ornament - unfortunately all the good ornaments were gone, so Jasin and I picked out a massive disco ball ornament to give as a gag gift. The ornament turned out to the be the star of the evening and everyone loved it - go figure! Sunday morning was lazy.. ooh so lazy! Jasin's parents returned to Ohio with a car full of gifts to bring to the Wills and Quiggs for Christmas, as Jasin and I will be going to NC in a week for Christmas! I haven't been back to NC since last Thanksgiving, over a year ago! Kelty loves the big back yard and all the stairs and people in the house to get attention from!
