This has been an Amazing Easter weekend! On thursday after work, Jasin and I took Kelty down to the bluff by the Cumberland River and went for a little hike. Kelty decided that she wanted to go for a swim and she jumped right in the Mighty Cumberland for a dip. She's never been in water above her head before so the look on her face was hilarious as her water dog instincts kicked in. On Friday all the dogs and Brianna and Jasin and I went out to Beaman Park for a three mile hike! Kelty is great off the leash while hiking since we have trained her from a puppy to go on trails. She is a herding dog so she runs from the front of the group to the back of the group to keep us all together. That should be interesting when she gets bigger! There is a creek that runs through the park and Kelty loved running and rolling in the water. Saturday we went to an Easter Egg hunt that was held on our campus and the dogs got to run around the intramural fields on campus. They exhausted themselves out by 1 pm so we then cooked out at Jasin's for the afternoon and moved the tomato plants outside as there getting too big for inside. Tomorrow (Easter) we are going to church (mass) as Jasin and Brianna are both Catholic and then coming home to prepare an Easter feast for ourselves and our friend Greg Pigott. We are having Ham, corn casserole (Lucy's recipe), Broccoli & Swiss Casserole, Rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, and Strawberry shortcake for dessert.
