Whew, another alternative service trip completed! I must say trip leading is my favorite part of my job. Now if I could just get students to behave on these trips! Its like they lose their common sense when you take them off campus and out of the state. Oh well. I do what I can!

We worked bridge day and it was amazing, cold, sleeting, beautiful, cold, interesting, and cold. It never got above 40 degrees and there was a steady drizzle of snow/ice/rain all day. We were in coal mining towns in West Virginia, which was a little depressing to see the poverty that still exists. We stayed in a "holler" in an old church -turned dormitory. The students had a great time and the pictures show how pretty the leaves changing were. I was exhausted from this trip! Time to start planning the spring break trip!!! It never ends...
