The Big Day

Today is the day! Jasin and I got up around 5 am to head to the hospital for our induction. We were supposed to be here at 6, but as the time got closer to leaving the house, I kept coming up with things to do and delaying the inevitable. At 5:50 am Jasin had to make me put down the vacuum and get in the car. Kelty was very nervous about the whole thing. When we arrived at labor and delivery we were met with the most inhumane sound that either of us had ever heard - the woman in the room next to me was howling/ moaning/ screaming. It was such a horrible sound that I started backing towards the exit doors to labor and delivery - and Jasin had to encourage me to keep going. What a sound that woman was making! It will haunt me forever! The nurses even commented on how over 20 years of labor and delivery they had never heard a sound like that before. Terrifying! I immediately decided that if that sound could possibly come from me from labor that I should sign up now for an epidural. I was put on petocin this morning and they've been uping my dosage every 20 minutes. What fun. I decided to get on the computer for a distraction as Jasin sleeps peacefully on the couch after enjoying a large cup of coffee and some breakfast & snacks. I haven't eaten since 7 pm last night and am starving.. I see how this day is going to go. Lunch time should see this show really get on the road!
