Well its official... I am dating/ engaged to a thirty year old. To celebrate Jasin's big moment and jump towards older age we decided to visit some yard sales on saturday morning with a co worker of mine. I have never been to a yard sale.. and was curious about entering someone's garage and rifling through their personal items. We were looking specifically for a headboard and some children's books. NO ONE PANIC. We are looking for children's books because it was recommended to us by some new parents that children's books are expensive and its something you can start collecting now before you have kids. So we are starting to build our children's library. We got some great books for amazing prices ($.25) a book! On our last stop of the morning we found a wonderful headboard for $10!! We scooped that deal right up.. and now Jasin gets to sand it down and re paint it! Can't beat a headboard for $10 though! After scoping out some deals and having some ice cream birthday cake, Jasin got to open one of his birthday presents.. a $100 gift card to amazon so he could pick out the oakleys sunglasses that he has been wanting all summer. We went to the pool for a couple of hours and relaxed before heading to buffalo wild wings with one of Jasin's friends for a birthday dinner. After dinner Jasin got to open his second birthday gift, a $100 gift card to best buy which he used in conjunction with several other best buy gift cards to get a new surround sound speaker system for our apartment. A little nerdy, but whatever makes him happy. We went to best buy to pick up his new toy and he spent the rest of the night taking apart the old one and installing the new one. All in all I would say Jasin is enjoying his 30's!
