In two weeks, two short weeks right before we leave for the wedding, we were supposed to be moving out of the three bedroom apartment that we are in now and move to a much smaller loft that was much more affordable. I guess everything happens for a reason. We got a call two days ago telling us that the people who were currently living in our future loft had changed their minds and staying put. They did not have any other spaces that were available to move into before the wedding. They had already rented out our current apartment to a family with kids that wanted to move in early august. So we were pretty much homeless unless we wanted to kick out the family with kids of our current apartment. one of the main problems is that over 20,000 troops have returned from deployment in the past three months and have taken all of the housing options. So Jasin and I scoured the town for housing options while experiencing some extreme heat and stress. Finally we found a place very close to where we live now that is a duplex and is actually being built right now! The price was in our range and so we quickly toured the area and put a deposit down. It's much smaller than where we are now but it has a garage!! We are so pumped for a place to keep our three bicycles and future hopeful kayak! We won't be able to move in until end of august when the building will be finished. Luckily we can go check it out whenever we want, today we even went inside and took some pictures. Even though it is smaller than where we are now, it still feels s'more grown up!
Now we just have to wait patiently, and watch the builders finish it up! Looking for a big area rug and a sectional couch for the living area (which has tile floors!) Kelty will love those cool tile floors, but my feet won't so much in the winter time. I am still not sure where I will put our giant kitchen table, but its a must!
