Summer is passing me by very quickly! Trying to focus on work, the wedding, moving to a smaller apartment has been distracting. Several weekends ago the ladies at work hosted a wedding shower for Jasin and I at Carrie's amazing house. We had top notch Carrie food (bre and cranberry pizza, broccoli bites, cupcakes, punch, etc.)We played some games and took some quizzes and even were entertained by Austin (8) and Ellie (18 months old. We had a great time and got a great visit in with our old buddy Leslie (Ellie momma)!
This past weekend we went to Ohio for a wedding shower hosted for us by Jasin's mother and sister. It was held in this B&B themed around Dolly Madison. I got to meet the most important 12 people in Jasin's life, including his 1st grade teacher, kindergarten teacher, and his baby sitter growing up. I got to hear some hilarious stories about a young Jasin - we had some good laughs. Jasin and I got lots of great presents including a vacuum cleaner specialized for pet hair!! After our shower we went to Cleveland to visit Jasin's best friends for the evening (I had never met most of them) - and they were hilarious. We will have to make the drive more often to see them.
