holiday treats

Wowzers! We are in the holiday spirit over here in Clarksville. The past week has been a constant flow of cookie baking, tree decorating, and stocking stuffing. Last weekend I went out to watch Jasin run his 5 k race in the jingle bell jog – it was 27 degees outside! That night we went to the local Christmas parade and watched the Christmas lights. We made five dozen sugar Christmas cookies and watched Christmas movies that weekend as well. We brought the sugar cookies into work for several holiday parties and they were a smashing success.. co workers have been hounding us for more cookies! They are cut out cookies, hand iced and sprinked (so they take a long time to make!). My roommate has been out of town at a professional conference in Florida so when she got back on Thursday, we decorated the Christmas tree and hung our stockings with care. This weekend we went out to Gaylord Opryland Hotel to see their Christmas decorations and spent the evening shopping – very productive! My roommate hosted a Christmas gathering for some of her students on Sunday afternoon and we made tons of food for the party. Tonight we watched some movies and wrapped presents to put under the tree. I have been working on a Christmas present that requires a lot of needle and thread, so I took sometime today to catch up on some stiches.
