Ok, so I don't want to be pregnant any more :) As big as a whale stranded on the beach - this is uncomfortable. I've gained 27 pounds (Yes, I know its all baby, but its still alot of weight), feet and ankles start to swell when the humidity outside rises above 60%, I have to pee every five minutes, and sleeping is impossible although I am tired all the time. And its summer and hot outside. Not to mention I look like a turtle stuck on its back when I am trying to get up out of bed.
We have a couple more house projects to go before baby gets here, so that is keeping us occupied - we are getting our floors refinished (David Howard, you promised you would visit once we got our floors refinished!) and so we have to basically move all of our furniture out of the house (correction, Jasin has to move everything out, I will be supervising). This means I can't start working on our nursery until the beginning of August, and baby is due early Sept. Although, according to our doctor we can expect baby boy Wills to arrive middle to late August. So lets hope we are ready for baby when he decides to make his debut. If he would be born perfectly healthy at 32 weeks, I would have him tomorrow.
I honestly don't know how Lucy had six children, granted she was pregnant 4 times, but still - once is enough for me! The worst is cashiers at the grocery store, everyone has a comment on my belly (which is really huge), " ohh look at you, you have got to be due any day now!" - my response is "actually I have 2 months left, but thanks!" or I get the "Are you having twins?!" - my response is "nope, just one baby floating around in there". The best though is the looks of pity I get from other moms when they see me sweating through the summer as I waddle around.
I keep hearing it will be worth it - and I'm sure it will be. Jasin and I attended our baby classes at the hospital and the number one thing Jasin took away from them was "to make sure to bring Dad plenty of snacks for the delivery, just in case the cafeteria is closed". He has started a list of snacks he wants to have with him. Meanwhile I get ice chips. Sounds fair right? I have gotten several requests to post pictures of my baby bump, and I promise I will post a picture soon - its just not a look that makes me happy about myself right now. And now my appetite has picked up again, so we are eating more frequently in this hot summer. My parents brought some Walleye fish from their visit with Janet and Mike and Jasin made me some fish and chips which was delicious. We also got some ground elk which I am trying to convince Jasin to make with macaroni and cheese - sounds good to me (but alot of things only sound good to me and no one else). Dairy Queen's blizzard of the month this month is a lemon meringue pie flavor - for the record its delicious. Also, they have a s'mores blizzard flavor which is spot on delicious as well.
