Missing Kelty
Our upcoming massive backpacking trip has resulted in Kelty spending a month on vacation with her Ohio grandparents. The thought of being separated from Kelty for a month is just devasting but so is the thought of her being mauled by a bear or mountain lion - and so she remains safe and sound in Ohio. We left her on Sunday and last night I spent the first night completely alone (Jasin was in Alabama for reasons we will keep hush hush). I miss my dog! Kelty grandmomma and grandpoppa are keeping excellent care of her & have sent me these updates which I very much appreciate (although they did bring me to tears a little when I read them).
"Email #1 this morning:
I have learned:
a. I must get in bed before Kelty to claim my spot.
b. Kelty prefers walking on asphalt to grass with dew.
c. Kelty is fascinated with the rain sewers, she looks at them like she is going to write a thesis.
d. Kelty doesn’t quite yet understand the garage door going up by itself.
I have not had to:
a. Clean up any dog poop yet in one of those bags. She has managed to hold out until she is up by the field on top of the hill.
Love,
Grandpup "
"Email #2:
Maybe I should start a blog name My Life with Kelty
I just did some reconstructive surgery on Lammy. Kelty was watching the “surgery” at my sewing machine. I gave Lammy back to Kelty and now she is really inspecting her!! I hope Kelty doesn’t sue me for some sort of Malpractice, but when Lammy was losing her innards on our Family room floor I knew something had to be done!
